Ubisoft have confirmed that Rainbow Six Extraction, the Rainbow Six Siege spin-off, is launching on September 16th 2021. Along with finally confirming a release date for Rainbow Six Extraction, Ubisoft also showed a significant amount of gameplay.

Along with a release date, we also got confirmation that Rainbow Six Extraction will feature cross-play between consoles and PC. Teamwork will be key, as Extraction tasks you and up to two friends with fighting back against the Sprawl. The technological parasite that first featured in Rainbow Six Siege’s Outbreak event has evolved and infested New York, San Francisco, and Alaska, meaning that the Siege operators need to come together to win.

It isn’t immediately clear how many operators will feature in Rainbow Six Extraction, but plenty of fan-favorites will be appearing. Hibana, Ela, Sledge, Doc, and Pulse are all confirmed to be appearing, and we are sure that list will only continue to grow as we get closer to launch.

Rainbow Six Extraction Gameplay Trailer

Of course, the operators need to have plenty of enemies to fight, so Extraction will be packed with aliens. Whilst the gameplay begins with a look at Grunts, which are the most basic enemies you will fight in Extraction, it quickly expands to show a range of different enemy types. Long-ranged Spikers, shape-shifting Tormenters, exploding Breachers, and more are all ready to deliver an intense challenge. You can check out the gameplay trailer below.
